Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as the „Control Institute“) informs the holders of authorizations of plant protection products, the parallel trade permit holders and users of plant protection products that Commission Implementing Regulation No. 2021/824 restricts  the use of plant protection products containing the active substance terbuthylazine to one application every three years on the same field at a maximum dose of 850 g terbuthylazine per hectar. The Control Institute will in accordance with the regulation amend, or withraw authorisations of plant protection products containing the active substance terbuthylazine by 14 December 2021. Existing stocks of plant protection products with the original label without restrictions will be able to be placed on the market and used up to a maximum of 14 June 2022. After this period, only plant protection products with restricted uses on the label can remain on the market and be used. We therefore recommend that the agricultural community take these facts into account when planning the purchase and application of these plant protection products.
