The Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as “the Control Institute”) notifies that according to the Act No. 405/2011 Coll. on Plant Health Care, the authorization holders and parallel trade permit holders of plant protection products must have their registered office in an EU Member State. In connection with the departure of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "the United Kingdom"), a transitional period has been established during which these authorization holders and parallel trade permit holders can still be considered as authorization holders, or parallel trade permit holders with their registered offices in a Member State. This period will elapse on 31 December 2020. Given that from 1 January 2021, plant protection products whose authorization holder or authorization holder has not its registered office in an EU Member State should no longer be authorized or permitted in the Slovak Republic, the Control Institute will initiate proceedings to withdraw the authorizations and parallel trade permit holders of all plant protection products for which the authorization or the permit has not been transferred to a company established in the EU
