Information on the active substances chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl

The Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava informs the agricultural community that on the 13 January 2020 Commission Implementing Regulations No 2020/17 and 2020/18 concerning non-renewal of approval of the active substances chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl were published in the Official Journal of the European Union. According to these regulations all authorizations and permits for plant protection products containing these active substances must be withdrawn by 16 February 2020 at the latest, and the products could be placed on the market and used until 16 April 2020 at the latest. We therefore advise the agricultural community to take this information into account when planning the purchase and application of these plant protection products.
